Alice Barker

At the age of twelve months, Alice Barker was diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. She has never let that circumstance stop her however, having gone on to become a disabled activist and help spread awareness of cerebral palsy across the globe, creating links in Europe, New York and Los Angeles. Her biggest achievements to date include creating a flashcard video telling her story, writing an open letter to disabled actor RJ Mitte (featured on disability rights website The Mighty), and an open letter to Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley, which was later endorsed by franchise veteran Mark Hamill. Alice is currently studying for her final year at university, and hopes to become a novelist upon graduating.
