Can blood tests predict breast cancer or depression? Not yet, but we’re not far.
There are a handful of conditions you knew a blood test could easily identify, like diabetes, HIV, anaemia. Pretty obvious. But soon, simple blood tests could do a lot more.
What if they could predict depression, your chances of breast cancer of even a heart attack? We’re not there yet, but as science advances, more and more conditions can be detected using a blood sample. Even if they won’t become part of a routine check up, havig such a convenient test at hand could help diagnose diseases before they progress.
